A New Fire Station For Hope`

Join us on Sunday, November 10th at 3:00 PM in the Hope town hall for this first fundraiser event for the new fire station.

NO CHARGE TO ATTEND!

 

Schedule:

3:00 PM – Welcoming by hope township supervisor Rita Goul

3:05 PM – “The History of Hope” presentation by Floyd Andrick.

4:00 PM – Presentation by Hope Fire Chief Brian Soloman on the proposed new fire station.

4:15 PM – 5:00 PM – soup supper: several homemade soups, desserts, drinks, and table service included.  Donation forms will be distributed during this time.

5:00 PM – A closing presentation by Floyd Andrick on “The building of Midland’s Hospital”

5:30 PM – Rita Goul will reveal the amount of money raised in today’s fundraiser

    CEMETERY CLEANUP

    Cemetery (both Old and New Hope) clean up will begin October 15th. Please have your items removed by that time. Any items left behind will be removed and placed in the dumpster. New items for fall/winter may be added after November 15th. Thank you for your cooperation.

    Hope Township Residents and Cemetery Visitors

        If at any time you visit the New or Old Hope Cemeteries and notice that the grass is in need of mowing, we have not neglected or forgotten to mow.  To minimize mowing expense to the township, we mow every 10 days during the months of May and June when the grass grows fast.  There will be times when at days 8-10 the grass will be tall enough to need mowing, but, it will be done rest assured.   The schedule may be altered slightly so that mowing will be done a day or two before Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day.  Later in July – September when the grass grows slower, we mow every 14-15 days or as necessary depending on weather conditions.

    Cemetery Clean-Up

    Cemetery clean-up will begin April 15th.

    Please remove any decorations or items.

    Any items remaining on gravesites will be removed at that time and discarded.
